Our initiatives

Social and environmental responsibility is at the very heart of Groupama’s corporate strategy. A special department dedicated to implementing and initiating measures throughout the company has been created.

The Ethics and Sustainable Development Department

The existence of the Ethics and Sustainable Development department (ESD) demonstrates the importance that Groupama assigns to social and environmental responsibility.

Reporting directly to the Group’s corporate secretary, the ESD department has an extensive mandate and capabilities. It is supported by a network of representatives from all of the Group’s business units (subsidiaries, local and regional mutual banks).

A company-wide initiative

The ethics and sustainable development department's responsibilities include the following:

  • raising employees’ awareness of sustainable development goals,
  • internal and external monitoring of issues related to sustainable development,
  • coordinating company-wide projects and the network of company representatives,
  • designing management tools (performance indicators, etc.),
  • providing information and communication internally and externally.
